Auto-start feature starts recording from the minute you plug the DVR into a power outlet (it also auto-starts when power is restored in the event of a power outage).
Live Video Feed Computer and Smart Phone Access
Access live video footage directly from any online computer and your iPhone™ or BlackBerry™ smart phone. The DVR can also be set up to email your hand-held whenever specific events occur, such as video loss and motion detection. An 'always on' internet connection is required and, depending on your network setup, port forwarding may be required.
Record Weeks of Video Footage
The 500GB hard drive can hold weeks of continuous video footage*. The hard drive is specifically designed for high capacity (video) writing ensuring long life and accurate data storage. The DVR will alert you when your memory space is full and you can set it up to overwrite the older data or stop it from recording so you can backup your footage.
H.264 Compression
H.264 is the latest and most advanced compression level available that provides crystal clear video quality but saves 50% of hard drive storage space over traditional MPEG-4 compression.
CCD Cameras with Night Vision
This kit includes 16 top of the line crystal clear Sharp™ 420 TVL CCD cameras with 12 IR night vision LED illuminators that activate automatically when darkness is detected. Wall/Ceiling mounts also included.
Motion Detection
You can control the motion detection settings for each camera individually. Turn motion detection on or off, set motion sensor sensitivity, and overlay a motion grid over the image to "block out" sections of the image that you do not want to trip the motion sensor, which is useful for images with busy backgrounds or constantly moving objects in the picture such as a fan or a tree.
